The AK06 CP combines the Variable Speed Drive (VSD) and a passive harmonic filter into a single physical enclosure. This eliminates the need for a separate filter cabinet, reducing the equipment footprint and simplifying installation.
The unit features a NEMA 4 or NEMA 4X (stainless steel) enclosure. This provides a level of protection against water, dust, and corrosion that is rarely found in standard harmonic filter cabinets, which are often limited to NEMA 1 or 3R.

While standard passive filters typically work effectively only near full load (70-100%), the AK06 CP offers an optional "innovative solution" that ensures low harmonic distortion (THDi ≤ 5%) even when the load drops down to 30%, significantly reducing power consumption during partial load operations.
The drive is engineered to meet stringent power quality standards (IEEE 519), ensuring that the Total Harmonic Distortion of current (THDi) remains at or below 5%. This prevents interference with other sensitive equipment on the electrical network.

Unlike many clean power solutions that require climate-controlled rooms due to the heat generated by filters, the AK06 CP operates in ambient temperatures from -20°C to +60°C (-4°F to +140°F), making it suitable for deserts and tropical zones.
The built-in passive filter itself boasts an efficiency of 98%, ensuring that the "cleaning" of the power quality does not come at the expense of significant energy losses.
The power compartment uses an isolated air-to-air heat exchanger. This keeps the dirty external air (sand, salt, dust) away from the sensitive filter components and drive electronics, ensuring longevity in harsh environments.
