History

Triol AT01 variable frequency drive   The Triol joint-stock company was registered on June 11, 1993. It was later transformed into the Triol Corporation, which is the company’s name to this day.

   We are extremely proud of our accomplishments to date. It took almost a year to develop our own frequency converter.  We were the first in the former Soviet sphere to successfully develop and produce a variable frequency drive with IGBT-transistors. In 1996, the company launched a series of first-generation Triol AT01 variable frequency drives. To date, we have produced more than 1,000 models in 11 series of third-generation converters with a power capacity ranging from 5 to 5000 kW.

   In cooperation with the Reductor factory, we produced the Triol 01 variable frequency drive (VFD) of the beam-pump unit in 1999.  The VFD is equipped with a variable frequency drive with a power capacity of 5.5 to 37 kW.  These drives were distributed in both Russia and Central Asia.

UMKA-01   In 2001, the Alnas Company asked us to produce specialized valve variable frequency drives to control brushless DC motors, making use of their own technical specifications. Our solution? We developed the universal microprocessor UMKA-01 controller! More than 100 complete sets of this controller were produced. We later made our first Triol 02 VFD to control the asynchronous motors on submersible pumps with frequency control.

    In developing the Triol 03 VFD, our main idea was “to create equipment comparable to their foreign equivalents, but at domestic costs.” In 2002, we produced the next generation of the Triol 03 VFD, which contained a newly-designed UMKA-02 industrial controller.

Triol AK03 VSD   The Triol AK03 VFDs  went into (serial)  production in 2004 and have proven themselves on the market. The VFD exhibited a fundamentally new design and enhanced functionality. The Triol AK06 drives, which were a continuation of the Triol AK03 series, went into production in 2005. These products offered a number of advantages and distinguishing features, including considerably enhanced output range; a unitized control system (the UMKA-02M controller), the possibility of operating with telemetry systems from different manufacturers, etc.

   In 2006-2009, we designed and launched serial production of the following equipment: the Triol AK01 and Triol AK02 direct and soft start drives; the universal microprocessor UMKA-03 and UMKA-04 controllers.  We also increased the quantity of Triol AT17 and Triol AT18 low-voltage frequency converters produced for housing and communal services. The middle-voltage Triol AT23 was produced for the metallurgy and mining industry, and the Triol TM submersible telemetry system was developed and serial production later  in 2008.

   At The Triol Corporation, we have also succeeded in upholding the spirit and traditions established at our company’s founding,  including:

  • an openness to everything new (“Everything new emerges now!”);
  • a high level of professionalism (“We like what we do!”);
  • a high-level of achievement (“If it doesn’t contradict the laws of physics, we can do it!”).

   We also show our colleagues and clients mutual respect and trust. We are result-focused at the core. In addition, we perform leading research and development in order to ensure that our company always improves and remains an industry leader and that we institute industry best practices.
