Triol AT24 variable frequency drive General Description
Applications:
Main Features: Scalar or flux vector control with or without a speed sensor The Triol AT24 is a universal drive that can be used for motors with variable or constant torque load. To achieve this, the Triol AT24 offers options with scalar control algorithms that are typically used for centrifugal pumps, fans and compressors. Options with flux vector control algorithms are specially designed for elevators and conveyors; this algorithm works perfectly with or without a speed sensor.
Motor parameter measurement at standstill Allows measuring motor parameters while the load is connected without the need for affixing the mechanical shaft.
Reduces power consumption Various operating modes optimize the motor operation:
DC injection braking Makes it possible to quickly brake the motor by applying DC voltage to the motor windings.
Rotation direction and speed control by analog input Controls the direction of the shaft’s rotation and speed in accordance with the analog input value. This function is useful in pumping applications, where precise pressure needs to be maintained using feedback from an analog pressure sensor.
Cascade controller up to 4 pumps One frequency drive can control up to four motors by directly rotating one motor and turning the other motors supplied from the grid on and off. The Triol AT24 can switch its output to other motors.
Wall and floor mounting The Triol AT24’s construction allows it to be mounted on the wall or set on the ground.
Evacuation mode for elevators In the case of supply voltage disturbances, the VFD is capable of driving the elevator’s motor to the nearest floor.
“Catch on the fly” mode This mode enables the motor to start while the shaft’s freewheeling rotation is present. The Triol AT24 starts rotating the motor in a freewheeling direction and speed, smoothly changing them to the needed rotation parameters.
Monitoring motor insulation resistance The Triol AT24 constantly monitors the motor’s insulation resistance. For pumping applications, the Triol AT24 can dry the motor with DC voltage in the case that the insulation resistance is lower than the current level.
